![Swans: To Be Kind (3LP) [YOUNG GOD]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33624571/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-swans-to-be-kind-3lp-young-god.jpg)
Swans' monumental 2014 album To Be Kind on 3LP: "A Little God in My Hands," "Screen Shot," "Bring the Sun / Toussaint L'Ouverture" and "Oxygen."
To Be Kind became Swans' highest-charting album and topped many critics' year-end lists, a two-hour journey of hypnotic, crushing and transcendent sound.
Michael Gira and the reformed Swans build To Be Kind from slowly evolving, repetitive grooves that swell into towering crescendos, with guests including St. Vincent's Annie Clark and Little Annie.
"Screen Shot" pulses with tension, "A Little God in My Hands" is a weirdly funky, heavy stomp, "Oxygen" is pure ecstatic energy, and the half-hour "Bring the Sun / Toussaint L'Ouverture" is an epic of overwhelming intensity.
