Suicidal Tendencies' 1990 album Lights... Camera... Revolution! on 180g vinyl from Music On Vinyl, with "You Can't Bring Me Down" and "Send Me Your Money."
This Music On Vinyl reissue is pressed on 180g audiophile vinyl in the EU. The album went gold, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, and was the band's first with bassist Robert Trujillo.
The cover was shot on the roof of the Vista Theatre in Los Feliz, with three band members standing behind the sign and Mike Muir and Rocky George leaning out of a window. That mix of swagger and mischief runs right through the record.
Suicidal Tendencies started as a crossover thrash band, and here they head deeper into metal with more complex arrangements, while new bassist Robert Trujillo brings a funky low end that was brand new to their sound. Mike Muir is in full voice, Rocky George and Mike Clark trade riffs and leads, and R.J. Herrera drives it hard. "You Can't Bring Me Down" became an MTV staple and the album's breakout, "Send Me Your Money" is a sharp satire, and "Alone" and "Lovely" show off the band's melodic side. Mark Dodson co-produced with the band.
AllMusic called it one of the band's best albums ever, and Loudwire put it in its top ten thrash albums from outside the Big 4. Trujillo went on to join Metallica in 2003, so this is, among other things, an excellent audition tape.
