Lemon yellow vinyl edition of Slipknot's ferocious 1999 debut: "Wait and Bleed," "Spit It Out," "Eyeless" and "Surfacing."
Slipknot's debut was a nine-piece, masked assault from Des Moines, Iowa, and it became the first Roadrunner album to go platinum in the US. "Wait and Bleed" and "Spit It Out" are still pit essentials.
Nine guys in boiler suits and horror masks, three drummers, a DJ, a sampler and a singer screaming his lungs out: Slipknot looked and sounded like nothing else in 1999. Producer Ross Robinson (Korn) captured the chaos at Indigo Ranch in Malibu and pushed the band to the edge.
"Wait and Bleed" pairs Corey Taylor's melodic hook with pure fury, "Spit It Out" and "Surfacing" are frantic anthems for outsiders, and "Eyeless" and "(sic)" hit like a wrecking ball. It turned the band into a phenomenon and a whole generation of maggots into lifelong fans. This edition is on lemon yellow vinyl.
