Rush's 1974 debut album, the hard-rocking start of a legendary Canadian career: "Working Man," "Finding My Way" and "In the Mood." On 180-gram vinyl.
The debut that launched Canada's greatest rock band. "Working Man" became a hit on Cleveland radio and got Rush noticed in the US.
Before Neil Peart joined, Rush were a Toronto power trio of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and original drummer John Rutsey, and this first album, put out on their own Moon Records label, is the only one with Rutsey behind the kit. It's a straight-ahead hard rock record with a big Led Zeppelin influence and plenty of swagger.
"Finding My Way" kicks things off with a bang, "In the Mood" is a fan favourite that stayed in their live sets for years, and the seven-minute "Working Man" is the song that broke the band in the US. Where the Rush story begins.
