![Pavement: Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain [MATADOR]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33629379/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-pavement-crooked-rain-crooked-rain-matad.jpg)
Pavement's 1994 indie rock classic Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain: "Cut Your Hair," "Gold Soundz," "Range Life" and "Elevate Me Later."
Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain is Pavement at their most melodic and playful, and "Cut Your Hair" and "Gold Soundz" are two of the great indie rock songs of the 90s.
With Steve West joining on drums, Stephen Malkmus, Scott Kannberg and co. sharpened their slack, scrappy sound into something catchier and warmer, mixing jangly guitars, wry lyrics and a dash of jazz and classic rock.
"Cut Your Hair" is a hilarious, hooky single, "Gold Soundz" is wistful perfection, "Range Life" is a laid-back country-rock gem, and "Silence Kid" and "Elevate Me Later" bounce with energy. Indie rock at its finest.
