About the album

Six years after After Laughter, Paramore came back sounding like a band that had spent lockdown listening to Bloc Party and Talking Heads, and loving every minute. This Is Why is tight, jittery and full of nervous energy, built for dancing through the anxiety.

Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Zac Farro sound sharper than ever. The title track struts on a funky, stop-start groove, "The News" is a frantic jolt of post-punk, "Running Out of Time" is a hilarious confession about chronic lateness, and "C'est Comme Ça" is half-spoken, half-sung and totally catchy.
