About the album

Trent Reznor spent two years in New Orleans building The Fragile with co-producer Alan Moulder, and it's his most ambitious record: two discs of crushing industrial rock, delicate piano interludes, orchestral textures and haunting instrumentals that flow together like a film score.

"We're in This Together" is a towering anthem, "The Day the World Went Away" builds to a massive wall of sound, "Into the Void" grooves, and "La Mer" and "The Great Below" are among the most beautiful things Reznor has written. The definitive edition spreads it over three LPs.
