About the album

Ian MacKaye, Lyle Preslar, Brian Baker and Jeff Nelson's Minor Threat were the leaders of the DC hardcore scene, and Out of Step shows them at their most powerful and melodic. It came out on Dischord, the independent label MacKaye and Nelson founded themselves.

"Betray" opens with a rush, "It Follows" and "Think Again" are lightning fast, "Look Back and Laugh" is a fan favourite, and the title track is a defining statement of independence. Nine songs, all killer.
