About the album

Lizzy McAlpine made her name on TikTok and the cult favourite Five Seconds Flat, but Older is the album where she slowed everything down. Recorded largely live off the floor in Los Angeles with a small band, it's a warm, unhurried indie-folk record about relationships, heartbreak and growing into yourself, built around her voice, piano and the occasional swell of strings.

The title track, "I Guess" and "Staying" are among the most affecting songs she's written, and the album found a big, devoted audience. Older (and Wiser) completes the story, adding a second LP with "Pushing It Down and Praying," "Soccer Practice," "Force of Nature" and "Spring into Summer," a demo of "Method Acting" and live versions recorded in Amsterdam, London, Washington and Boston.
