Blue Banisters arrived just seven months after Chemtrails and became a fan favourite, with some of Lana's most personal, piano-led songwriting.
Lana Del Rey made Blue Banisters with a small circle of collaborators, including Zachary Dawes, Drew Erickson, Mike Dean and old friend Rick Nowels, and it's one of her warmest and most intimate records: slow, piano-led ballads, hints of jazz and country, and lyrics that feel like pages from a diary.
"Text Book" and the title track are gorgeous, "Arcadia" is a sweeping love letter to Los Angeles, "Wildflower Wildfire" and "Black Bathing Suit" are fan favourites, and "Dealer" with Miles Kane brings a little fire. Spread over two LPs.
