Why you'll love it

Born This Way sold more than a million copies in its first US week and became an anthem of self-acceptance for a generation. Clarence Clemons and Brian May both play on it.

About the album

After the global takeover of The Fame and The Fame Monster, Lady Gaga went even bigger on her second album: pounding '80s synths, heavy metal guitars, Bruce Springsteen-style sax and stadium-sized choruses, all in service of a joyful celebration of being exactly who you are.

The title track is a self-love anthem for the ages, "Judas" and "Bloody Mary" are dark dance-floor drama, "Marry the Night" soars, and "The Edge of Glory" (with the late, great Clarence Clemons on sax) and "You and I" (with Queen's Brian May) are pure rock-and-roll joy.
