About the album

By 1998 Korn had built a fanatical following the hard way, touring nonstop behind their first two albums. For the third, they worked with producers Steve Thompson and Toby Wright and made a bigger, bouncier, more hip hop-influenced record that took nu metal fully into the mainstream.

"Got the Life" and "Freak on a Leash" (whose animated video won a Grammy) became the band's biggest hits, Ice Cube drops in on "Children of the Korn," Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst trades insults with Jonathan Davis on "All in the Family," and "Dead Bodies Everywhere" and "It's On!" are heavy as anything. It's Korn's most commercially successful album and a defining record of late-'90s heavy music.
