![King Krule: The Ooz (2LP) [TRUE PANTHER SOUNDS / XL]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33618726/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-king-krule-the-ooz-2lp-true-panther-soun.jpg)
King Krule's murky, mesmerizing 2017 album The Ooz on 2LP: "Dum Surfer," "Czech One," "Biscuit Town" and "Half Man Half Shark."
The Ooz is Archy Marshall's masterpiece, a late-night swirl of jazz, punk, trip hop and lo-fi R&B that sounds like nobody else.
Over 19 songs, the South London singer-songwriter's deep, growling baritone drifts through smoky saxophone, dubby bass, jazz chords and sudden bursts of punk energy, painting a hazy, nocturnal portrait of loneliness and the city.
"Dum Surfer" lurches with drunken swagger, "Czech One" is woozy and gorgeous, "Biscuit Town" sets the shadowy mood, and "Half Man Half Shark" erupts with jagged guitar.
