Indie Exclusive 180g raspberry beret vinyl edition of Kate Bush's 1985 masterpiece Hounds of Love: "Running Up That Hill," "Cloudbusting," "The Big Sky" and The Ninth Wave suite.
Hounds of Love is Kate Bush's magnum opus and her best-selling studio album. "Running Up That Hill" gave her a UK No. 1 nearly 40 years after it was written, thanks to Stranger Things. This indie exclusive is 180g raspberry beret vinyl.
After The Dreaming confused some listeners, Kate Bush built a studio at her home and took her time, and the result was a masterpiece. Hounds of Love is two albums in one: side one is five spectacular art-pop singles, driven by Fairlight synths, thundering drums and her extraordinary voice; side two, The Ninth Wave, is a conceptual suite about a woman adrift in the sea at night.
"Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)," "Hounds of Love," "Cloudbusting" and "The Big Sky" are all classics, and The Ninth Wave moves from the hushed "And Dream of Sheep" through the terrifying "Waking the Witch" to the euphoric "The Morning Fog." It topped the UK chart and gave Kate her first US Top 40 album, and decades later Stranger Things sent "Running Up That Hill" to No. 1.
