Jessie Reyez: A Little Vengeance [ISLAND RECORDS]

Why you'll love it

The Toronto singer-songwriter's fourth album came out in June 2026 on her own FMLY imprint with Island. Complex Canada ranked it third on its list of the best Canadian albums of 2026 so far.

About the album

Six Juno Awards in, Jessie Reyez has never been one to sand down the edges, and the title of her fourth album gives fair warning. A Little Vengeance is the Toronto singer-songwriter at her most direct: 17 songs in about 46 minutes, raw in places, tender in others, and never far from that raspy, tear-it-open voice.

The singles lead the way. "Ain't U Tired?" pairs her with Muni Long, "N.Y.F.F." is pure swagger, and "Ur Heartbeat (Who Do U Think About at 2AM?)" is the late-night heart of the record. Ty Dolla Sign drops into "Dusty," Raahiim joins "Love & Money Don't Go," Lekan and D Smoke share "Synesthesia," and the closer "Ego Atrophy" carries a spoken word passage from Bob Marley. Toronto's own Dot da Genius is among a long list of producers, alongside The Monsters & Strangerz and Scribz Riley, and short interludes stitch it all together like a mixtape.

Sweety High called it her most vulnerable and highly listenable work yet, and she launched the Jessie Reyez Fund with Plus1 alongside it to open doors in the music industry for women and underrepresented communities. Track seven is called "F*** You Jessie," so nobody can say she spares herself either.
