About the album

Working again with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Janet Jackson made janet. her most intimate, mature and adventurous record yet, blending silky R&B, hip-hop, house, rock and jazz with interludes stitching it all together.

"That's the Way Love Goes" is a laid-back slow-jam classic, "If" is a hard-hitting groove, "Again" is a gorgeous Oscar-nominated ballad, and "Any Time, Any Place" and "Because of Love" are smooth and seductive.
