Gracie Abrams' 2021 project This Is What It Feels Like, her first work with Aaron Dessner: "Feels Like," "Rockland," "Augusta" and "Alright."
This Is What It Feels Like marked the start of Gracie Abrams' partnership with Aaron Dessner of The National, and its intimate songwriting helped build her devoted following.
Gracie Abrams made this 12-track collection with producers Aaron Dessner, Joel Little and Blake Slatkin, building soft, intimate songs around close-miked vocals, gentle guitars and atmospheric electronics. She co-wrote every song and co-produced the lead single.
"Feels Like" is a sweet, swooning highlight, "Rockland" has a lovely, Dessner-crafted glow, and "Augusta" and "Alright" show off the honest, diary-like writing that made her one of pop's most relatable young voices.
