![Fiona Apple: Tidal (2LP, 180g, 45rpm) [CLEAN SLATE / WORK / LEGACY]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/60526500/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-fiona-apple-tidal-2lp-180g-45rpm-clean-s.jpg)
Audiophile 2LP 45rpm pressing of Fiona Apple's 1996 debut Tidal: "Criminal," "Shadowboxer," "Sleep to Dream" and "Never Is a Promise."
Tidal went triple platinum, and "Criminal" won the Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. Fiona Apple was only 18 when she made it.
Fiona Apple was just a teenager when her demo tape reached producer Andy Slater, who signed her almost on the spot. Her debut shows why: smoky, jazz-inflected piano, a voice well beyond her years and songs of startling honesty and sharp wit.
"Sleep to Dream," "Shadowboxer" and the Grammy-winning "Criminal" made her a star, and "Never Is a Promise" and "Pale September" are just as stunning. Cut at 45rpm over two 180g LPs, this edition brings out every detail of her piano and voice.
