Why you'll love it

About the album

Deftones made their first two albums as one of the heaviest bands on the nu metal circuit, but on White Pony they let their love of the Cure, the Smiths and shoegaze come pouring through. Producer Terry Date helped them build a record of huge contrasts: crushing riffs, Chino Moreno's whispered and screamed vocals, and Frank Delgado's eerie atmospherics.

"Change (In the House of Flies)" became their biggest hit, "Digital Bath" and "Teenager" are beautiful and unsettling in equal measure, "Passenger" pairs Moreno with Tool's Maynard James Keenan, and "Elite" won a Grammy. White Pony keeps showing up on lists of the best albums of the 2000s, and new generations of fans discover it every year. This 2LP pressing uses the original 11-song tracklist.
