Death's 1987 debut, widely called the first true death metal record, with Chuck Schuldiner. On tri-colour merge with splatter vinyl.
Death's debut is widely considered the first true death metal album, the blueprint for an entire genre, led by the legendary Chuck Schuldiner.
Florida's Chuck Schuldiner played guitar, bass and sang on Death's debut, with drummer Chris Reifert, crafting fast, ferocious riffs and growled vocals that set the template for death metal. Schuldiner went on to become one of metal's most respected and visionary songwriters.
Raw, relentless and hugely influential, it's essential listening for anyone who wants to understand where extreme metal began. Relapse's reissue presents it in great style.
