About the album

Carole King had already written dozens of hits for other artists with Gerry Goffin before stepping into the spotlight herself. On Tapestry, recorded in Los Angeles with producer Lou Adler and friends including James Taylor and Joni Mitchell, she sings her own songs at the piano with warmth, wit and total honesty.
