Bring Me the Horizon's 2013 breakthrough Sempiternal: "Shadow Moses," "Can You Feel My Heart," "Sleepwalking" and "Go to Hell, for Heaven's Sake."
On order
Sempiternal is where Bring Me the Horizon grew from Sheffield metalcore band to arena giants, adding electronics, choirs and massive choruses. "Shadow Moses" and "Can You Feel My Heart" are fan anthems.
Bring Me the Horizon started out as one of the noisiest bands in British metalcore, but on their fourth album everything opened up. Keyboardist and programmer Jordan Fish joined, producer Terry Date (Deftones, Pantera) came on board, and Oli Sykes started singing as much as screaming.
The result is huge: "Can You Feel My Heart" opens with glitchy synths and a monster chorus, "Shadow Moses" is a crowd-shaking anthem, and "Sleepwalking," "Empire (Let Them Sing)" and "Go to Hell, for Heaven's Sake" balance heaviness with hooks. Sempiternal set the template for everything the band has done since.
