Long Island's Brand New started out as pop-punkers, but on their third album they made something far bigger and stranger: a dynamic, atmospheric rock record that moves from whisper-quiet acoustic passages to towering walls of guitar, with Jesse Lacey's voice cracking and soaring over the top.
