![Blood Incantation: Absolute Elsewhere [CENTURY MEDIA]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/76304597/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-blood-incantation-absolute-elsewhere-cen.jpg)
Blood Incantation's acclaimed 2024 album Absolute Elsewhere, two epic, cosmic suites fusing death metal with 70s progressive rock and krautrock: "The Stargate" and "The Message."
Absolute Elsewhere landed on countless best-of-2024 lists, a bold, ambitious record that pushed death metal into thrilling new territory.
Denver's Blood Incantation recorded their fourth album at Berlin's legendary Hansa studio, and named it after a 70s prog group. It's built as two long pieces, each split into three "tablets," moving from crushing, technical death metal to floating synthesizers and spacey psychedelic passages, with Thorsten Quaeschning of Tangerine Dream guesting.
"The Stargate" opens with full-throttle riffing before drifting into cosmic, Pink Floyd-like calm, and "The Message" builds to a towering finish. A record that metalheads and prog fans can agree on.
