![Beck: Sea Change (2LP) [GEFFEN / INTERSCOPE]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33629750/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-beck-sea-change-2lp-geffen-interscope.jpg)
Beck's gorgeous 2002 album Sea Change on 2LP, produced by Nigel Godrich: "Lost Cause," "The Golden Age," "Guess I'm Doing Fine" and "Paper Tiger."
Sea Change is widely considered Beck's masterpiece, a lush, heartfelt record that Rolling Stone placed among the greatest albums of all time.
After years of genre-hopping and playful wordplay, Beck slowed things right down for Sea Change, recorded in Los Angeles with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. Swapping samples for acoustic guitars, warm strings and live band arrangements, he wrote his most direct and sincere songs.
"The Golden Age" opens the album like a desert sunrise, "Lost Cause" and "Guess I'm Doing Fine" are beautifully understated, and "Paper Tiger" swells with cinematic strings in the style of Serge Gainsbourg. A late-night classic.
