![Avenged Sevenfold: Nightmare (2LP, Purple Vinyl) [WARNER / HOPELESS]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/60090497/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-avenged-sevenfold-nightmare-2lp-purple-v.jpg)
Avenged Sevenfold's 2010 album Nightmare on 2LP purple vinyl, their first US number one: "Nightmare," "So Far Away" and "Welcome to the Family."
Nightmare was Avenged Sevenfold's first number one album in the US, with Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy on drums and a run of heavy, melodic hits.
Produced by Mike Elizondo and mixed by Andy Wallace, Nightmare is a big, ambitious heavy metal record full of twin-guitar harmonies from Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance, M. Shadows' powerful vocals and epic arrangements.
The title track is a thunderous, theatrical opener, "Welcome to the Family" is a catchy rocker, "So Far Away" is a moving power ballad, and "Save Me" is an 11-minute epic. A fan favourite.
