About the album

Ariana Grande had been through a lot by the end of 2020, and Positions is her sound of things finally settling down. Recorded at home during lockdown with longtime collaborators Tommy Brown, Victoria Monet and Tayla Parx, it's a warm, intimate record about falling in love and staying there, with Grande stacking her own harmonies over plucked strings and trap-lite beats.

The title track topped the Hot 100, "34+35" became a cheeky hit (with a Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion remix to boot), and the gorgeous closer "POV" is one of the best things she's ever recorded. Lighter and looser than Thank U, Next, it's the kind of album that rewards a lazy Sunday spin.
