About the album

Anita Baker's warm, velvety contralto and jazz-inflected phrasing are front and centre on Rapture, produced by Michael J. Powell with lush, sophisticated arrangements that blend R&B, soul and smooth jazz.

"Sweet Love" is a soaring, timeless love song, "Caught Up in the Rapture" is silky and seductive, "Same Ole Love (365 Days a Year)" is irresistibly smooth, and "Been So Long" shows off her stunning voice. Quiet storm perfection.
