About the album

Working with producer Willie Mitchell and the Hi Rhythm Section in Memphis, Al Green perfected a sound that was smooth, subtle and deeply soulful, with his silky falsetto floating over gentle grooves, warm horns and strings.

The title track is pure magic, "La-La for You" and "I've Never Found a Girl" are tender and sweet, and his version of the Bee Gees' "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" is a masterpiece. Essential soul.
