![The Velvet Underground: Loaded (Indie Exclusive, Clear Vinyl) [COTILLION / RHINO]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/51635489/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-the-velvet-underground-loaded-indie-excl.jpg)
Loaded, the Velvet Underground's 1970 album and their most accessible record: "Sweet Jane," "Rock & Roll" and "Who Loves the Sun." Indie store exclusive on clear vinyl.
Loaded is the Velvet Underground's most pop-friendly album, home to "Sweet Jane" and "Rock & Roll," two of Lou Reed's most beloved songs.
Asked by Atlantic for an album "loaded with hits," Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground delivered their warmest, most straightforward record, swapping feedback and drone for catchy, classic rock and roll, with Doug Yule taking a bigger role on bass, keys and vocals.
"Sweet Jane" has one of rock's most famous riffs, "Rock & Roll" is a joyful celebration of the power of radio, "Who Loves the Sun" is sunny pop, and "New Age" and "Oh! Sweet Nuthin'" are gorgeous.
