About the album

Five years is a long time between albums in rap, and Travis Scott spent it building something huge. Utopia arrived with a companion film, Circus Maximus, and a guest list that reads like an awards show: Drake, Beyoncé, The Weeknd, SZA, Playboi Carti, Bad Bunny, Future and James Blake, among others.

The production is just as stacked, with Kanye West, Metro Boomin, Boi-1da, The Alchemist, Justin Vernon and Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo all in the mix. "Meltdown" with Drake is a heavyweight rager, "FE!N" with Playboi Carti is a hypnotic chant, "I KNOW ?" glides, and "Telekinesis" with SZA and Future floats in the clouds.

It's dark, maximal and restless, a concept record built for headphones and arena stages alike. For fans of Astroworld who want more of that psychedelic, bass-rattling Houston sound, this is the next chapter.
