About the album

Solange spent years writing and recording A Seat at the Table, from Louisiana to New York, and it's a gorgeous, graceful, deeply personal album about Black identity, self-care and resilience. Collaborators include Raphael Saadiq, Q-Tip, Lil Wayne, Kelly Rowland, Sampha, Kelela and Dev Hynes, with spoken interludes from her parents and Master P.

"Cranes in the Sky" is a modern soul classic, "Don't Touch My Hair" with Sampha is quietly powerful, "F.U.B.U." and "Mad" are stirring, and "Rise" and "Weary" set a mood you won't want to leave.
