About the album

Drake and PartyNextDoor first worked together on PartyNextDoor's 2013 mixtape, so a full album had been cooking for a long time. The first collaborative album from Toronto's very own Drake and his Mississauga brethren PartyNextDoor arrived on Valentine's Day 2025 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

The album shows a more vulnerable and emotionally intelligent side of the Canadian rapper. $ome $exy $ongs 4 U is filled with certified lover boy anthems, from the tender-hearted "Somebody Loves Me" to the explosive synth sounds of "Nokia." Longtime OVO collaborators Noel Cadastre, Gordo and Jordan Ullman of Majid Jordan help on production, with Yebba and Pimmie among the guests.

It opened with 246,000 units in its first US week and went top ten across Europe and Australia. Two lads from the 905 and the 416 putting out a Valentine's Day album together is about as Toronto as romance gets.
