About the album

Anderson .Paak got very busy after the first NxWorries album, what with the solo records, Silk Sonic and a shelf of awards. Producer Knxwledge kept the beats coming anyway, and eight years on the duo picked up right where they left off, with .Paak's raspy soul voice riding Knxwledge's dusty, chopped-up loops.

Pitchfork called it "some of the most breathtaking production of his career," a treasure hunt of tiny samples stitched into songs. "Where I Go" with H.E.R. was the first single, "Daydreaming" came with a video shot inside Grand Theft Auto V, "86Sentra" cruises, "FromHere" brings in Snoop Dogg and October London, and "WalkOnBy" features Earl Sweatshirt and Rae Khalil. The themes run deeper than the grooves let on, with candid lines on survivor's guilt and emotional distance tucked inside the smooth stuff. Nineteen short tracks flow together like a mixtape.

The duo took the album on its first tour together in 2025. Stones Throw put it out on vinyl a week before it hit streaming services, which is the correct order of things as far as we're concerned.
