Mumford & Sons' 2025 fifth album Rushmere on recycled eco vinyl, their first in nearly seven years.
This pressing comes on recycled eco vinyl in a gatefold jacket. Rushmere debuted at No. 1 in the UK with 35,655 units, the band's third chart-topping album there.
Rushmere is a pond on Wimbledon Common, and it's where Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwane and Ben Lovett first got to know each other. Naming the album after it was the point: a trio going back to where it all began, restless to get going again.
They made it with producer Dave Cobb between 2022 and 2024, at RCA Studio A in Nashville, in Savannah, Georgia, and at their own studio in Devon, and the band call it the most prolific two years they've had. The title track was the first single, a rousing return to the banjo-driven folk pop that made their name, and "Malibu," "Caroline" and "Carry On" bring the big singalong choruses. It's the band's first album as a trio, and the three of them sound like they're having a rather good time.
It came out on Island and Glassnote in March 2025. Somewhere on Wimbledon Common a pond is enjoying an unexpected moment of fame, and handling it with real dignity.
