About the album

Every December the same thing happens: the radio warms up, the shop gets busier, and somewhere a Burnaby crooner starts singing "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas." Bublé had dipped a toe in with a five-song EP in 2003, but this was his first full holiday album, and he went all in.

Fellow Canadians David Foster and Bob Rock share production with Humberto Gatica, and the arrangements swing like a big band at a ballroom party. Shania Twain joins him on "White Christmas" in an arrangement based on The Drifters' version, The Puppini Sisters bring Andrews Sisters harmonies to "Jingle Bells," and Thalía shares "Mis Deseos / Feliz Navidad." "Cold December Night" is an original, and "Santa Baby" and "Blue Christmas" get the full velvet treatment, while "Ave Maria" shows off his range.

It spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 that first season and it comes out of the sleeve again every winter. We start playing it in the shop on November 1st, and we'd like to apologize to our Halloween stock in advance.
