About the album

Mac Miller started out as the frat-party kid from Pittsburgh, but by his fourth album he'd become one of hip-hop's most musical, curious and open-hearted artists. The Divine Feminine was meant to be an EP about love, until Miller realized he had a lot more to say, and it grew into a full album about romance, women and everything he'd learned from them.

It's lush and jazzy and warm, more neo-soul than boom-bap: live keys, strings, Bilal and Anderson .Paak harmonizing, Kendrick Lamar dropping by on "God Is Fair, Sexy Nasty," and "My Favorite Part" with Ariana Grande as sweet as anything on the radio that year. It's a big, unguarded love letter of a record, and fans hold it very close.
