About the album

Anthony Gonzalez moved from France to Los Angeles before making his sixth M83 album, and he went big: a full double album inspired by Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie, full of wide-screen synths, choirs, childhood memories and dreamlike interludes.

"Midnight City" is the one everyone knows, with that shimmering hook and the sax solo that launched a million road trips, but "Reunion," "Wait," "Steve McQueen" and "Splendor" are just as stirring. It's a record made for headphones, night drives and big feelings.
