Why you'll love it

Computer World predicted the digital age decades early, and its tracks shaped electro, hip hop, techno and synth-pop. "Computer Love" was even sampled by Coldplay.

About the album

Germany's electronic pioneers turned their attention to home computers, calculators and data at a time when most people had never touched a PC, and the result is playful, melodic and remarkably prophetic. Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider's precise, minimal grooves still sound futuristic.

"Computer Love" is a gorgeous, melancholy-sweet synth melody, "Pocket Calculator" is pure fun, "Numbers" became a huge influence on early hip hop and electro, and the title track sets the scene perfectly.
