About the album

Korn played somewhere between 200 and 250 shows in the year after their debut, and by the end of it they had a fan base waiting at the door. They went straight back to Indigo Ranch with producer Ross Robinson, and the follow-up sold 106,000 copies in its first week.

Jonathan Davis is the centre of it all, switching from whisper to howl to scat in a heartbeat, while Munky and Head's down-tuned guitars, Fieldy's slapping bass and David Silveria's drums lock into that heavy, hip-hop-bounced groove the press of the day struggled to name. "Good God" is often pointed to as the moment nu metal took shape, "No Place To Hide" earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, and "A.D.I.D.A.S." became a UK chart single alongside the other two.

They toured it with Limp Bizkit opening, then went out supporting Metallica, joined Lollapalooza in 1997 and headlined across the UK, Europe, North America and Australia. Martin Riedl shot the cover photo, and the cheerful title came from Fieldy, which tells you the band had a sense of humour long before anyone asked.
