About the album

Doja Cat named her third album after a planet of her own invention, then filled it with hits. Half of it was written on a trip to Hawaii, and most of it was recorded during lockdown in Los Angeles, which might explain why it sounds so determined to have a good time.

Pop, hip hop and R&B all blend together here. "Kiss Me More" with SZA is a glittering disco-pop smash, "Woman" bounces on an Afrobeats groove, "Need to Know" is sleek and confident, and "You Right" with The Weeknd glides. Young Thug, Ariana Grande and JID drop in, and the deluxe adds "Tonight," "Why Why" and more, with Eve and Gunna among the guests. Doja Cat executive produced with Yeti Beats, alongside Y2K, Dr. Luke, Al Shux, Rogét Chahayed and Mayer Hawthorne.

All five singles went top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the deluxe also earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. She built her own planet; we just keep the population supplied.
