Blink-182's untitled 2003 album is the band at their most ambitious, darker and more cinematic, with "I Miss You" and "Feeling This"; here as a 2LP set with an etched side.
After Enema of the State and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket made them the biggest pop-punk band on earth, Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker took a breather, then rented a mansion in San Diego and started building something different.
The untitled album is darker, moodier and far more adventurous. "Feeling This" crashes in with Barker's thunderous drumming, "I Miss You" swaps power chords for acoustic guitar, upright bass and brushes and became one of their biggest hits, "Down" and "Always" shimmer with eighties new wave, and Robert Smith of the Cure guests on "All of This."
Its interconnected songs blur the line between pop-punk and post-hardcore, and plenty of fans rank it as their best.
