Black Sabbath's crushing 1972 album Vol. 4, the first produced by Tony Iommi: "Supernaut," "Snowblind," "Changes" and "Wheels of Confusion."
Vol. 4 is Black Sabbath at their heaviest and most adventurous, with "Supernaut" riffs that inspired generations and the surprising piano ballad "Changes."
Recorded in Los Angeles, Vol. 4 picked up where Master of Reality left off with monolithic riffs, while stretching out with mellotron, piano, acoustic guitar and studio experiments.
"Supernaut" is a relentless, groovy monster, "Snowblind" and "Wheels of Confusion" are epic, "Changes" is Ozzy's tender ballad, "Laguna Sunrise" is a lovely acoustic interlude, and "Under the Sun" closes with doom.
