Recorded over several years on a huge array of gear (the original sleeve even itemizes the equipment and the album's costs), Syro is Aphex Twin at his warmest and most melodic: bubbling acid lines, crisp breakbeats, rubbery bass and gorgeous synth textures.

"minipops 67" opens with a woozy, funky groove, "XMAS_EVET10" is a ten-minute journey, "produk 29" is irresistible, and the closing "aisatsana" is a delicate solo piano piece accompanied by birdsong.
