About the album

Teaming up with Brendan O'Brien for the first time and with Dave Abbruzzese on drums, Pearl Jam made Vs. rawer and more aggressive than Ten, while also finding room for some of their most beautiful acoustic moments.

"Go" and "Animal" are ferocious, "Daughter" is an enduring classic, "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town" is tender and wistful, and "Rearviewmirror" builds into an absolute monster.

Brendan O'Brien's first go at the controls, and he kindly left the edges on.
