![Nirvana: In Utero (2013 Steve Albini Mix) [DGC / GEFFEN]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33624146/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-nirvana-in-utero-2013-steve-albini-mix-d.jpg)
Nirvana's raw final studio album In Utero in the 2013 Steve Albini mix, black cover: "Heart-Shaped Box," "All Apologies," "Pennyroyal Tea" and "Serve the Servants."
In Utero is Nirvana's most abrasive and emotionally direct album, and this edition presents the songs as recorded by Steve Albini, closer to his original vision.
Wanting to escape the polish of Nevermind, Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl recorded with Albini at Pachyderm Studios in Minnesota in February 1993, capturing a fierce, dry, live-in-the-room sound.
"Heart-Shaped Box" broods and explodes, "Serve the Servants" opens with weary wit, "Pennyroyal Tea" and "Dumb" are hauntingly melodic, and "All Apologies" is a beautiful, bittersweet farewell.
