About the album

Wanting to move away from the polish of Nevermind, Nirvana recorded In Utero with Steve Albini in Minnesota in just two weeks, capturing a heavy, live, uncompromising sound that puts Grohl's huge drums and Cobain's voice right in your face.

"Heart-Shaped Box" is a towering, grinding single, "All Apologies" and "Dumb" are gorgeous and melodic, "Pennyroyal Tea" is a perfect quiet/loud gem, and "Serve the Servants" and "Scentless Apprentice" are ferocious.
