This is the heavyweight version of Mobile Fidelity's Original Master inner sleeve, at 120gsm against the standard sleeve's 80gsm. The extra weight makes each sleeve stiffer, so an LP slides in without bending or creasing the corners, and the sleeve keeps its shape through frequent use.

About the sleeves

Plain paper sleeves scuff the grooves, and thin plastic ones cling with static and pull dust onto the vinyl. MoFi's Original Master design answers both: a paper core gives the sleeve its structure, while a layer of HDPE on each side means the record only ever touches smooth polyethylene.

The heavyweight edition keeps that three-ply build and thickens the paper to 120gsm. Swap them in for the paper sleeves many new LPs ship in, or use them to rehouse a collection of used records.
