About the album

James Murphy blends dance-punk, disco, krautrock and electronic music on Sound of Silver, building long, propulsive tracks from pulsing synths, cowbells and live drums, with lyrics that are funny, wise and deeply human.

"All My Friends" is an exhilarating, ever-building anthem, "Someone Great" is gorgeous, "North American Scum" is a hilarious punk-funk blast, "Get Innocuous!" pulses hypnotically, and "New York, I Love You" is a perfect closer.
