JID: Live From NPR's Tiny Desk (red vinyl, RSD Black Friday 2026) [INTERSCOPE]

Why you'll love it

JID's Tiny Desk concert comes to vinyl for the first time, pressed red for RSD Black Friday. He filmed it weeks before The Forever Story arrived, debuting new songs live and reworking fan favourites with a full band and background singers. NPR put it simply: nobody raps like him.

This edition

• RSD Black Friday 2026 exclusive
• Red vinyl
• Full seven-song Tiny Desk set
• Recorded live with band and background singers

About the record

The Tiny Desk format strips artists down to what they can do in a cramped office in Washington, and JID used it to show how much detail sits inside his verses. Played by a live band, "Never" and "Surround Sound" leave room to hear every switch in his flow.

The set opens with "Galaxy" and "Workin Out" and moves through "Off Da Zoinkys" and "Sistanem" before closing on "Kody Blu 31," a soulful finale that shows the full range of his writing.

It is a snapshot of an Atlanta rapper on the eve of a breakthrough record, captured in one take.

"Everything JID does is intricately detailed."
